Hallmark Store Madison Indiana

I just had a horrible experience with the Hallmark Store in Madison, Indiana. I have a second cousin whom I never met before today who introduced herself to me as Lacey, the grandaughter of Charles and Joyce Liter Alexander. I stopped into the store to search for a crossword puzzle dictionary, after I had already been to the Christian book store in the little village area of Madison, which is closing down. When pulling into this little strip mall, the first thing that I noticed was a Planned Parenthood. I remarked to the lady at the Christian book store how sad it was to see Planned Parenthood in the same mall as their store. This lady directed me to the Hallmark Store in the JC Penney Mall area. There was no crossword puzzles. However, Lacey said hello to me, and told me that my grandmother had been transferred from Thornton Terrace Nursing Facility in Hanover, Indiana to the Kingsdaughter's Hospital in downtown Madison.

I drove downtown and parked in the doctor's area that is behind the main hospital, and saw a little pink house across from where I parked. I happened to have a camera in my purse, and took a photo of the house. I will use this photo for a reference to Mellencamp's song "Little Pink Houses." Of course, Mellencamp hails from Indiana like I do. I went into the general information area of the hospital, and a lady by the name of Mary Ann, I believe that was her name, told me that Rosemary Alexander was in the hospital. Mary Ann told me that my grandmother may be in the emergency room area, and I went there. Mom-ma was not there, so I spoke with a young lady by the name of Christina Asher who looked up the Hallmark number for me. I called the store and Lacey had left for lunch. Then I went back to the main desk, and the lady in general admission told me to go to room 244. I did go to Room 244, and talked with Rosemary Alexander and her husband. The husband told me that he had a sister by the name of Linda Alexander, who is 60 years old. I told him that I am 55.

Well, I called the Hallmark Store and spoke with a lady identifying herself as the manager and she told me she was going to call the police on me! Give me a break! I called Hallmark Corporation and complained and then went to Hallmark.com and emailed my complaint telling them my Gold Crown Membership Number with Hallmark, and that I feel that this type of behavior is not acceptable. I am so disappointed in the supposed God fearing people in the state of Indiana, and the people in Macon, Georgia where the Bible Belt is supposed to be are not much better.

Indiana with "In God We Trust" on license plates

I was born in Jefferson County Indiana in the town of Madison, Indiana at Kings Daughters' Hospital with the given name of Linda Jo Alexander on December 29, 1954. I have driven back to my hometown at least four times from Macon, Georgia in the last two plus years, and people have been most unkind to me. I am extremely disappointed, since I wrote about how proud I was of Madison on my main blog entitled The Bibb County Conservative.

People have stared at me with disdain every time I visit Madison. I have been visiting my grandmother Helen B. Alexander, age 94, at Thornton Terrace in Hanover, Indiana. The staff there is most nasty and they tell one lie after the other. My grandmother is not being cared for nor or other people in the nursing facility. I found a friend of my grandmother's this morning by the name of Imogene in a most distressful situation. Imogene was lying in her room with a red sweat shirt on with the sheets off her naked body from the waist down. She ask me to help her put a sock on her foot. I knew Imogene when I was a small girl, and I called my Uncle Charles Alexander this morning to inquire if Imogene has any family living in Madison. Uncle Charles did not know of any family living here.

Mom-ma has had her food tray delivered to her room when I visit her, and she is lying sleeping. I have had to wake her up myself and feed her. This morning, Mom-ma showed me her leg that was sore from the wrap that she had around her leg, since coming to the facility on December 28th, 2009 after her hip surgery. I spoke with Dr. Jackson at Kings Daughter's Hospital on the 28th of December, but am disappointed that he has not visited the nursing home, as far as I know since Mom-ma had her surgery.

I told some people at Frisch's Big Boy yesterday that they may as well take the "In God We Trust" off license plates because of the way people in the town of Madison, Indiana treat out of town guests. My car is in the garage at Chandler's Chevrolet with undercarriage work being done that is quite extensive. I have had the car in the garage since New Year's Eve, and now the GEICO adjusted told me just today that it would be Friday before the car is fixed. GEICO is being very good to me with the car rental that I am driving and I will have a super fine car, hopefully, with having to pay my $500 deductible. I tried to cash a check at Main Source Bank telling them that I was stranded with a car breakdown, and the bank would not cash a check for me. I also went to Kroger's in Madison to try to cash a check with my Kroger ID card from Macon, Georgia, but the lady at Kroger would not cash my check either.

I have been treated poorly everywhere I go, and I cannot say that Macon, Georgia people have treated me very well either. No doubt, with my writing about Madison, Indiana that the town experienced much tourism. Oh well, what goes around comes around. I pray for the town of Madison, Indiana and for our entire Country. People have most certainly lost what the truth about being a caring human being means.
